Brooks Wilson has served as South Side's Lead Pastor since May 2011. Prior to moving to Springfield, Brooks spent time ministering with his wife Jody in Kenya, Africa and subsequently leading a congregation for nine years in Carbondale, Illinois. He holds degrees from both Lincoln Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary.

As Lead Pastor, Brooks preaches a majority of Sundays at South Side. Besides being South Side's primary communicator, he also leads our staff and pursues God's vision for our church family under the guidance of our elders.

Outside of South Side, Brooks can be found playing basketball with his three boys, hiking some trails or cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He and his wife Jody live in Springfield with their three sons.
