“The Journey Forward” campaign is South Side Christian Church’s effort to continue its multi-site ministry by raising funds to purchase the Southwest Campus facility at 3040 Hamlin Parkway.

Opened in 2006 in a former auto service center, the Southwest Campus has made great inroads into the Springfield community. As a result of God’s working, the Southwest Campus has seen more than 70 baptisms, 125 new members, more than 10 new small groups and 1 new full-time and two new part-time ministerial positions.

“The Journey Forward” campaign started in fall 2010 and initially collected more than $683,000 in pledges that are scheduled to be fulfilled by fall 2013.

On Nov. 20, 2011, South Side will conduct “Commitment Sunday” during regularly scheduled church services, providing a formal opportunity for current donors to confirm or revise an existing pledge or for others to make a pledge for the first time.

As we approach this milestone in the campaign, we simply ask you to pray about how you can continue to be involved in our journey.
