I Heart Springfield
This bi-annual service project is our way show God's love to our community in practical ways.
South Side seeks to develop "everyday missionaries" that care deeply for our community. From time to time we engage to perform acts of service and love in an effort called "I Heart SPFLD." The specifics look a little different each season, but the goal remains the same - show simple acts of love for the community around us!
Sometimes groups from South Side team up to do service projects throughout the week. Other times we have a traditional "work day" after a light breakfast at the church. Projects have included everything from raking a neighbor's leaves to blessing a local school to partnering with local organizations that serve the homeless and everything in between. The sky is the limit! Our hope is that each South Sider will find a place to "love our neighbors as ourselves" with the gifts and talents that God has given us.
